Hospital Operations, Chief Information Officer

Role Overview:

The CIO will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of all IT systems and infrastructure across the hospital. This includes driving digital transformation, ensuring data security, and supporting clinical and business functions with seamless technology support.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead hospital-wide IT operations, including HIS, EMR/EHR, PACS, LIS, and data centers
  • Define the IT roadmap and align tech investments with clinical and business goals
  • Oversee software development, vendor selection, and system upgrades
  • Ensure cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance with IT governance standards
  • Support hospital leadership in using data analytics and automation to improve outcomes
  • Manage IT budgeting, licensing, and infrastructure planning
  • Build and lead a high-performing IT team across locations
  • Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams for tech support and user training
Preferred Candidate Profile:
  • Proven experience in hospital IT environments and understanding of healthcare systems
  • Expertise in managing HIS, telemedicine, digital imaging, and analytics platforms
  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills
  • Up-to-date with evolving health tech and cybersecurity regulations
  • Candidates with experience in multi-site hospital networks will be preferred
